This post is for World Bird Wednesday.
I saw this Little Black Cormorant at a park in Gympie the other week. It was drying off as it balanced on a dead stick above the water. It didn't look very secure as it clasped the end of the stick with its webbed feet.A short distance away around the pond was a Great Egret looking very elegant. Although it was up on the bank it must have been watching carefully because it suddenly dived down towards the water and came up with a small fish.
the cormorants always fascinate me. :)
