In Loving Memory

of my mother
Ninnion Dorothy
who died last week
aged 93 years

She saw a great number of changes in her lifetime and faced them all with determination and style. She and Dad were married 57 years and when he died 12 years ago things were just not the same for her. She loved doing things with us but the joy and excitement were all gone. We will all miss her so much. It's the end of an era!

I have not until now posted wholly personal things on this blog but felt this to be an exception. Back to normal asap. I need to see some birds and beautiful scenery to give life some balance again!

  4. Thanks Duncan, I'm sure it will take a while. My Dad was the one who was most interested in birds and the environment and even after 12 years I catch myself thinking that I must tell Dad about something which I have just seen. Mum encouraged our interests in other lines. Its true that your influence lives on long after you are gone!

  5. Cherish the memories of your Mum and your Dad. And don't let anyone say you can't still talk to them. They'll always be part of you.

  9. My condolences too Mick. Having been through the same experience several years ago it is hard but as a grand old lady once said to me - time is a great healer. It is nice to have happy memories to cherish and they stay for ever.
