Blue-faced Honeyeater

This is a follow-up to the previous post and my first attempt to get a video onto my blog. Hope it works! It is a video of the very noisy juvenile Blue-faced Honeyeater that is still calling for attention from the adult.

  2. Thanks Mosura. Now I am thinking of what else I need to go out and get little video clips of. The only nuisance is that I need to use my monopod to keep the camera steady enough.

  3. Good one Mick. Once we were having a picnic lunch of sardines in spring water, and Blue-faced Honeyeaters came down to the table and polished off all the liquid left in the cans. Watched their brush-tipped tongues working at close quarters.

  4. That would have been very interesting, Duncan. They obviously eat nectar but must have a taste for other things as well.

  5. It is starting out life, as it means to continue. Noisy and greedy.
    Nice clip, though, Mick.

  6. You're right Denis, that's the way the adults often appear also.
