Birds - Up Close

In reality - up too close! Plus I am getting slow and the camera was not even close!  I was sitting reading next to my glass doors when I saw movement and looked up to see three White Ibis calmly stalking past right on my back patio. My house has become one of those I used to write about - no children and no pets!! The birds must know!
N.B. Keep the camera closer and ready to go!!

  1. I have always found that birds are great learners. They definitely start to avoid busy roads, where people pass noisily by and where there is danger. It makes absolute sense for them to do that so as to increase their chances of survival. It may not be a conscious decision like our own, but probably instinct.

  6. Ha! Are you quite sure you haven’t emigrated to Florida? You could be my next door neighbor (and I wish you were) ... no children, no pets, and white ibis in the Yard! Definitely, you meet all the Florida qualifications. ,, . Happy Easter ! (Actually, a lot of our neighbors do have pets.., that part is just my personal qualification. The rest is true. )

  7. You did well considering. We feel the Ibis are a bit of a nuisance in town. But it might be nice for you. They'll eat everything.
