Galahs

This post is for World Bird Wednesday.

Galahs are a common sight around here but not right in my yard. However, the other day I looked over the fence and there were some feeding in the long grass next door.
Before I got very close they flew up into the big pine tree. This one started preening its feathers but kept a close eye on me all the time.

  19. Galahs are gorgeous! I've seen huge flocks in documentaries and it's amazing but I also heard they can destroy cultivated fields...
