Weather Dependent!

Sometimes, even with the best intentions, it is not possible to photograph the birds. It has been raining for a couple of weeks. Much of the time it has been just light showers - but enough to make you wet if you stay out in it! Yesterday morning we had a heavy downpour and the photo shows my back yard. Then by afternoon the sun was out again and it felt like a sauna. Now the weather bureau says we can expect more of the same for the next week. Oh well! This too shall pass!!

  3. Here the harder the rain the more likely there are to be Wood Pigeons out in the open taking a shower! First lifting one wing, then the other to get a good wash.

  7. Are you sure you're not spending the winter in western Oregon (or Seattle) -- your weather sounds like that! I do understand rain. Our daughter loves rainy days -- she likes to just cocoon. Me not so much (as you already know). Do your best!!

  8. sorry for the wet condition. We have a lot that too now but it is needed up here. We still have a very low groundwater level so we have to put up with it. Hope your moisture will end soon.
