Brahminy Kite

This handsome bird was sitting high in a tree close to the car park at Mullens Creek picnic area yesterday. A pair have nested in this area for many years now. Maybe they are planning to do so again this year. I shall have to go down and check the nest site more often.

  6. There cannot be a double coincidence! Your blog post after this one is a visit to Poona. I live in the city named Poona that is in the western ghats of India. And now this post that is on Brahminy Kite! These kites are seen in the western ghats! I can't believe this double coincidence. You must be here in the western ghats, not in Australia :)

  7. Hi Bhavesh - coincidences indeed! But this Poona has only some houses strung out around the bay and only the little store at the caravan park - so rather different from your Poona I reckon!
